    NYC!

Just some random shots of New York City by Video CoPilot

    Leaving On A Jet Plane

    Dedicated to someone special :)

Leaving On A Jet Plane - John Denver

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I'm standing here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye

But the dawn is breaking, it's early morning
The taxi is waiting, he is blowing his horn
Already I'm so lonesome, I could cry

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go

    I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

There is so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I tell you now, they don't mean a thing

Every place I go I think of you
Every song I sing I sing for you
When I come back I wear your wedding ring

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go

    I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Now the time has come to leave you
One more time let me kiss you
Close your eyes and I'll be on my way

Dream about the days to come
I won't have to leave alone
And I won't have to say

So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you wait for me
Hold me like you never let me go

    I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back again
    I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back again

    I'm leaving on a jetplane
I don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

    Where is the C????

This is the FREAKIN REASON why my WPM came really down and I even LOST to ma sister in TypeRacer :-( But that's with a different laptop we raced and i was uncomfortable with that.. So...... :-D alright.. alright... I admit... She is equally fast.. But I still hold the record of 62 WPM ;-)

This is because of ma nephew Rishab (i use to call him 'bonda'). ONE QUICK BANG ON MA KEYBOARD AND UP COMES THE KEY....... (you get the picture huh?) And I cant fix it anymore.... Cos it came off along with all its supportin parts....
But the fair part is... I can still type the letter by pressing the 'round' thingy hard inside.... Hope i could find someone to get it fixed cheap :-p
Oh ya.... that's MY laptop btw :-D :-(

    Long time no post??

I'm glad that many are followin ma blog..

Ok, here's why no post for long time..

Firstly, i had been downloadin PRO SCORES for exactly 3days & 4 hrs when i was so much conscious not to touch ma lappy and the internet. Man, worth spending 3 days for this download cos this is an amazing toolkit which has professionally composed music and sound elements for creating powerful soundtracks and scores.

Secondly, i was so much confused about the script of my short film for the competition, '60 seconds to fame'. Finalized it on 12th noon after struggling for while to get a wheelchair which the previous script demanded. Since i couldnt get one, changed the script in no time, went to my school, got the permission and started shooting on the same day evening. It was so much fun shooting with the school kids and it reminded me my high school life. After finishin the production(filmin) part by 14th evening, i decided to edit in the same night and submit the cd the next day which is the deadline for submission :D But i was so much worried that the film dint come as i picturised. Before i start the editing, i checked their website for any update about the competition. I felt like 'YESSSSS'.. There was an update on the last date which is postponed to 01/09/09. So i decided to make something better and professional and not on the last couple of days :P

Now its my second chance to correct the mistakes and make moves early & better.
Guys, please do let me know if you get any script creative and professional. Cheers! ;-)

    Himawari

I just found this cool stuff posted in GizmoWatch.com. Worth bloggin it. Take a peek.

A geekly-cute artistic creation, merging nature with robotic instincts, Himawari is a robotic sunflower, which instead of moving towards the sun (heliotropism, sunflower’s basic instinct), follows the hand movement, mimicking the real flower in process.

    Himawari - Japanese for Sunflower

Designed by Akira Nakayasu of Kyushu University, Japan

The impulse to follow the hand motion has been inculcated into the robotic flower by stationing an infrared camera within its head. A cluster of 48 white LEDs on the head reflect light corresponding to the hands waving nearby, the information is captured by the camera and informed to an attached PC (acting as the control unit), which processes data and directs servomotors in the robots stalk to turn its sunflower head towards the movement. Jump down to see the sunflower robot in action.

You can get the exact picture at 0:51

    DEFINITELY GEEKY!!

    Creative or Logical??

There is the ISIS, called the most difficult puzzle ever. It sure had put many minds and brains to test, but here is something that’ll put the two halves of your brain confronting head-on for supremacy? Asking your witty bit to decide which half of it was more dominating, helping you figure out things, and did you always figure them out correctly.

It is the test of the Right brain with the Left brain, and it’s time to concentrate, not on the lady, but her movement, that’s gonna decide the rest. If you see her moving clockwise, then you’re using the creative side of your brain, that is the Right. Whereas, if you see her move anti-clockwise, then you’re using the logical part of your brain, that is the Left.
    source: www.gizmowatch.com

Well, for me its clockwise everytime i watch this clip. But people around me here say it keeps changing for them(even while watching it). Im glad that im totally a creative guy and not an unstable one ;-) But i tried to find how people watch it anti-clockwise and DAMN! i couldn't get the logic. Whatever!!

Ok, time to test yours, so go ahead and give a try.. DONT FORGET TO VOTE!!

    BE REALISTIC huh? :-)

    Latitude & Longitude

    DEFINITIONS:
Latitude, usually denoted by the Greek letter phi (φ) gives the location of a place on Earth (or other planetary body) north or south of the equator. Lines of Latitude are the horizontal lines shown running east-to-west on maps. Technically, latitude is an angular measurement in degrees (marked with °) ranging from 0° at the equator (low latitude) to 90° at the poles (90° N or +90° for the North Pole and 90° S or −90° for the South Pole).

Longitude, symbolized by the Greek character lambda (λ), is the geographic coordinate most commonly used in cartography and global navigation for east-west measurement. It is the angular distance measured east or west and usually expressed in degrees (or hours), minutes, and seconds, from the prime meridian, defined to be at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, in England, to the meridian passing through another position on the earth's surface

( CONFUSING HUH? Jus read it twice and you'll get it.. ;-P )

    But, what's with this now??
In my last post, i mentioned it like "these numbers down here" and gave the position of my home(12°49'43.17 N 79°42'17.95 E). It sounded little weird when i wrote like that but i just kept going with it. Later, last night, i googled it and came to know what these numbers are all about.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latitude_and_Longitude

Dint we study this in our school?? geography?? (Gosh!!)

    Incredible India!

Well, its been quiet around here... been busy - for a good reason.... and the reason issss....

The photographic Society of Madras invites photographers from all over the country, both amateurs and professionals, compete with their best pictures...

    Sections:
    • Streets at night
    • Water
    • Emotions
    • Flora & Fauna
    • Monochrome
    • Temples of India

And my choice is 'Temples of India' which made my travel expenses very low as im living in the temple city, 'Kanchipuram' which has more than 100 temples in it.

    Prize money :

    1. Rs. 10,000
    2. Rs. 7,500
    3. Rs. 5,000

So, i started roaming around some of the oldest temples here in my town with my uncle's Canon PowerShot A620 which has a pretty good lense. And moreover, Rahul is quiet pro in Image editing with Adobe Photoshop..

I will upload the photos in my Flickr page after the last date of submission :-D (copyright issues :-D)

    visit www.photomadras.org for more details

PS: I have been making a closer note at the temples and sculptures this time

PS: Taking outdoor photos with skylight little professional

    Wednesday, July 15, 2009

    OMG!! Its paining...

A set of workouts for my cough muscles, side hips and lower back for half an hour after running for 20 mins in the treadmill and on the same day - roaming inside spencer plaza(chennai) for around 3 hrs which went on with worthless window shopping - made me to look exactly in this position (often) now...

ya ya.. its exactly how i look when i try to sit down on a chair or get up.. I cant even walk normally, damn it!!

    ITS PAINING LIKE HELL!!

PS: The pain, been there for a week, got intense

PS2: I stopped going to gym

    60 seconds to fame!

Well, to start off with something interesting, take a look at this pic

Am i not one of the creative people??? (Oh ya!!)

Rahul's first attempt for a short film competition which is worth participating. I have started working on the script and its going good so far. But having a problem with finding a place to shoot. Hopefully i will get one asap and start things more professional. alright, i will catchya guys with more interesting stuffs in the following posts..

    have fun ;)
